The Buzz doesn't usually recommend cookbooks, but Heston Blumenthal's emotional reception for Kevin Snook's A Boy After the Sea, held at his Traditional British restaurant Hinds Head in Bray last night, has persuaded us otherwise. A glittering array of chefs from around the world have contributed to this beautiful book, and all the money raised goes to The Dan Snook Trust Foundation, a charitable organization helping young people overcome issues of sexual and/or substance abuse, founded in honor of chef/editor Snook's son. Those who signed the book at the event included John Burton Race, Heston Blumenthal (The Fat Duck), Dublin-based Kevin Thornton, Atul Kochhar (Benares) and finally Snook himself.
